I meant to post this a while ago, but Mr Time ran away with me.
This is my entry for the May challenge at my local craft shop The Cubby Hole.
The theme is 'hommage to white space'. Whenever I think of cards with white space on them, I immediately think of Japanese sumi-e ink paintings-I just love the simple design of the black and white ink and the bright red stamp of the artist's name.
Inspired by the large Japanese scroll hanging in my stairwell, I decided to make my own mini scrolls based on the sumi-e style.paper used was Japanese washi paper -my good friend in Japan regularly sends me the washi factory off cuts.I chose stamps that looked as if they had been brush painted as I am not very adept with a paintbrush!
Absolutely gorgeous Christine! beautiful images
